Davenport, Iowa is a Mississippi River town and is part of a four city complex known as the Quad Cities.  Davenport and Bettendorf on the Iowa side, and Rock Island and Moline on the Illinois side with the river running between them.  The highlight of our stay is of course the Mississippi.  It's a little lazy this time of year, but great to see and photograph.  Unfortunately for me, my telephoto lens went belly up and the distance shots were nothing but blurs.  I bought a new telephoto lens but time did not permit me to recapture some good shots.  

Another highlight was our visit to the Rock Island Arsenal Museum.  It is part of an active military base that has a wonderful history.
