On Thursday, we had a wonderful drive from Buffalo to Ft. Laramie, Wyoming.  It was a little windy but the vistas and the sky was stupendous.  Nobody does skies and cloud formations better than Wyoming.  We got into the very little township of Ft. Laramie fairly early and stopped for a four day stay at a little campground called Pony Soldier Campground.

Ft. Laramie is the location and center point of the Northern Indian Wars during the nineteenth century.  It was here that a 2nd Lieutenant's quest for glory got himself, his command and a lot of others killed over a period of 30 or more years.

Friday, we went to the actual Ft. Laramie located a couple of miles from the town.  A very interesting step back in time.  We took a lot of pictures, bought books about the history and shirts and pins.  A good day all around.  Could be cooler.

This morning we took the back way into Cheyenne, Wyoming.  We ran smack into the opening day of the week long "Frontier Days."  As none of us are particularly parade geeks, we kept our visit to checking out a gun shop, a shopping mall and book store.  Then we headed back.
