We headed up to Willard Bay, Utah. Terrific Drive. The only point of contention was the road construction along I-15 N, just south of Provo. I understand the need to widen major highways to provide for increased traffic. And I understand the need to close a lane for the construction crews. But I don't understand the need to close lanes for mile after mile after mile when at most the construction is taking place in about 3/4 of a mile along the way. Plus, those concrete revetments that are placed along the way. There's no room for error. No give. No forgiveness. I drive a large motor home and it's a white knuckler all the way.
Anyway, we stopped at a delightful park called the Willard Bay State Park which is next to a fresh water inlet along the Salt Sea. It has a Pelican Preserve and we decided to take a couple of days to see them.
It's very hot, humid, and the mosquitos are everywhere.
Pat, Doug and I are heading out for a steak dinner.
