Dubai es uno de los siete emiratos que integran desde 1971 los Emiratos Arabes Unidos. La ciudad de Dubai es famosa por sus cientos de atracciones turisticas y su gran zona de rascacielos, entre ellos el Burj Dubai (Torre mas alta del mundo), y bloques de edificios en Sheikh Zayed Road, situada en el distrito financiero de Dubai.  Curiosamente Dubai es inusual en cuanto a su población, ya que se compone principalmente de extranjeros procedentes de mas de 80 paises, mientras que los emiratis constituyen una minoría. Dubai quiere ademas romper todos los records. Esta en construcción el edificio más grande del mundo (se inagurara el 4 de Enero 10), el hotel, el centro comercial, el parque de diversiones y el edificio residencial mas grandes del mundo, entre otros.  Dubai es un destino dificil de explorar a pie, ya que muchos de sus puntos de interes como Deira o la playa de Jumeirah se situan a gran distancia unos de otros.  Es algo espectacular las dimensiones que esta adquiriendo esta ciudad.  Hace mas de 70 anyos era un simple pueblo de pescadores a orillas del rio, pero despues de descubrir el oro negro, la ciudad ha crecido desmesuradamente.  Parece que hemos llegado un poco pronto, ya que aun quedan dos palmeras por construir, muchos edificios aun por terminar, asi como parte del metro, puerto y aeropuerto.  Dentro de 5-10 anyos, Dubai sera la capital del mundo, porque esto es algo impresionante.

The city of Dubai is famous for its hundreds of tourist attractions and large area of skyscrapers, including the Burj Dubai (tallest building in the world), and blocks of buildings on Sheikh Zayed Road, located in Dubai's financial district. Interestingly Dubai is unusual in terms of population, as it consists mainly of foreigners from more than 80 countries, while a minority emiratis. Dubai also wants to break all records.
