Where I stayed
After a quick breaky from the super cheap cafe at the camp ground (3 euros for 2 teas, 2 pastry and 1 peach!) we road our bikes into town. Knowing the rough direction we were to head we weaved through the back streets until we found the Deutsches Museum - this place is heaven for anyone with a mechanical mind. We arrived at 11am and left at closing, 5pm!
My favourite areas would probably be the shipping, astronautics and the pharmaceutical displays. They even had a guy playing with liquid nitrogen for the kids! Even I understood the purpose of the experiments in my non-existent German. You could easily spend a few days here. When we emerged at 5pm we realised we hadn't eaten lunch. Getting on our bikes we headed back into where I had seen a Mexican restaurant the other day to try and find some Dunch.
Its a good thing I wasn't in charge of finding the main tourist street we located yesterday as I had no idea we were just down the road... We located the establishment I found yesterday and ordered a Mexican feast - nachos and fajitas. They were pretty tasty once you got use to the concept of soggy corn chips.
Yesterday when we came down the main walking street there were people everywhere and wheeling our bikes as a bit of a challenge. It was still busy today but there was no risk of running my bike up the legs of unsuspecting German or tourist.
