Also I forgot to mention that when we were on our way back from Kisoro our brakes started to fail in the 4x4 so our guide organized someone to use an acetelene torch to fix our brake line. We lost about a half hour but it was pretty quick considering it was a saterday and only costed about $5 Canadian.
Sorry for the spelling - this keybord is really bad
. I'm jumping round a bit here too. Melanie and I are both still having a bit of stomach trouble so we decided on a strict diet of bread an water today. We are heading out for a trek in the Renzwari mountains for the next two days. I've read that the Renzwari mountains are one of the wettest places on earth. We just organized the trip today when we got to Fort Portal - after waiting in line at the bank for 2 hrs to cash some travelers cheques (anger)
Fort Portal is a tea farming region with rolling hills and lush green forests. Really pretty countryside. I'm going to try and download some photos in a bit.
Happy Thanksgiving All!!!
Melanie and I arrived in Fort Portal tody. We took the "Uganda Post Bus" which delivers mail to basically every town from Kampala to Fort Portal. It was really packed at points but really cheap and a great way to see the country. It delivers mail and picks up and drops off people along the way. Yesderday in Kampala we were walking around town an got caught in a pretty major rainstorm that flooded parts of the city. We had to roll up our pants an "wade" in ankle deep water back to our hostel.
