As always with the last day of a trip there is that bittersweet feeling of being sad it is time to leave but that thrill of going home. I was up early as usual on Monday morning and let Katie sleep for a bit more.
I took Bosco out for his morning ocean trip and got him all tired out for the time being. It was another perfect morning with the sun shining and the waves crashing in the distance.

We came back in and I started to tidy up and pack some things while watching the news to see what we missed out on. I put the coffee on and did a little writing on the laptop. After awhile it was time to go wake Katie up.

Once we were up I made a big pan of scrambled eggs and toast. We were trying to use up most of what we brought so it was less to pack. It was a filling meal thats for sure. Katie read some paper and I watch TV. We took Bosco out again and chucked the ball out in the ocean some more because we loved making him go in the waves! If only we could of got a good pic of him getting smacked with a big wave.

We then came in and packed up the place and making it as tidy as we could. I am sure we did not have to but it seemed to be the right thing to do.

Once the car was packed and we double checked the place, we were off. So sad to leave it behind, poor Bosco did not want to leave.

We stopped in the welcome village before the bridge to find out how far out of our way it was to the Bay of Fundy. It was a little more than we wanted to we decided it was home time. This was around noon. Then we finally found out what the toll was to leave the Island. 40 bucks! yep that was a little much at this point in the trip but what are you going to do? At least they took debit.

The drive home was pretty easy and good. Katie napped on and off and I just cranked out the tunes and tried out the cruise control for the first time. That was fun.

We made really good time and stopped in Tturo for a bite to eat and to gas up. From there were in the drive way around 4pm and happy to be home.

818 km's later we had an amazing road trip and vacation. We are excited to go on another trip soon and we will for sure go back to PEI next year.

Next up , maybe Boston to see Kevin and Angela???
