Day 4:
Ah a lazy Sunday, perfect for relaxing and some site seeing. After sleeping in we got our stuff together to make a trip out to Peggy's Cove. With our directions, cold play and camera we hopped in the car and started the voyage. First stop of course was some brunch to fill the tank! We went to a place down the street from Katie's called The Ardmore Tea Room and it was a nice little diner. I was not feeling that hungry after eating way to many fries the night before. I managed to eat a cheesy omelette and Katie enjoyed a half size eggs benny. Now that we had full bellys we got in the car and hit the highway! Once onto highway 333 it became very bendy and fun for driving. About 30 minutes later we arrived at Peggy's Cove. After finding a place to park we walked through the town up to the Lighthouse and rocks. I had no idea that this was one of the most famous lighthouses in Canada, no wonder it had a post office right inside. We sat on the rocks and watched the ocean for awhile taking in the ocean air. Of course the heat finally got to us and we headed back to the car. A nice Air conditioned drive home was just what we needed. When we got back to Katie's, I watched some TV while KAtie had a nap. The plan was to then go to the early show of Batman and get some dinner after. We did something we don't get to do , we drove to the movies and that was fun. Found a great parking spot right in front of the theatre! We both liked the movie and it was great being in a cool room for a few hours. Funny thing is when we left it was all of a sudden cold outside! So we hurried into Your Father's Moustache Pub for a late dinner. They had right on the menu, Halifax's best wings so of course I had to try them. I will end the suspense right now, they were not award winning. They were good but not what you would want to go to war with thats for sure! We sat and watched Spring Garden Road for awhile and made the trip home. On the way we topped up the car (99.9) and headed back to HQ. We relaxed and watched some news and went to sleep. The weekend is over....say it ain't so!!
