The Sneeze has got a "thick" nose

After a nice time spent napping on the establishment's couch (for me) and a somewhat harrowing experience for The Sneeze (her nose was "thick" and took some prodding before the needle made it through), we wandered down to the waterfront. I had already seen the fantastically wonderful school-children decorated trees...but it was worth a second kan.
From there we went over to Belem where The Sneeze exclaimed over the majesty of the monument adopted for the UPS logo. I didn't doubt that it was on the logo, but felt somewhat dissapointed because I could not remember ever noticing it. It was here that we also stumbled upon two pinata looking cow type animals and tried to make friends ( I jest...there was actually no friend making involved). There was also a cool UNESCO castle. That is, it looked swell. Perhaps it was cool temperature wise...but it was closed, so I can't say for certain.
Sneeze's mum had been to Lisbon back in the day and had told The Sneeze that she must experience Fado. Now, Fado is a major cultural aspect of Portugal. But, I must confess, I was no where moved to tears by the music itself...only by moonnneyyy that had to be paid. At intermission an old blind guy, steered around by a friend, attempted to sell Fado cds. The same olde guy ate peaches and Sneeze and I thought they looked delicious; however, when we ordered some we told that they were not actually a menu item and we could not have them.
We exited the establishment sometime after midnight and found the streets to be crawling with people. The partying was just getting started...but we were beat, beat red.
