Well nothing exciting to report today.

Handed the boat back today, loaded up the car and headed north toward Belgium with no fixed plans.

We ended up in Albert which is in the Somme and the centre of a lot of the trench warfare in WW1.

We left Redon at 9.00 and and got to Albert at 5.05 pm and about 550 km later.  The trip was surprisingly smooth especially when we hit the motorways with a speed limit of 130 Km/h.

Susan had a crack at driving on the motorways but handed the wheel back as soon as she hit the roundabouts and general traffic!

We found a family room at the Ibis and were expecting 4 beds in the room and were very pleasantly surprised to find two adjoining rooms with seperate beds for the girls.

Luxury after a cramped canal boat and the girls sharing a bed!

Sorry no pics today, motorways aren't very exciting!
