Our first beach experience in South America was that of semi-dirty water and gale force wind. I`m not sure why the Buenos Airians are drawn so strongly to visit the beach here. It was still nice to be on the beach, but only if you were sheltered by the wind in one of the tents that they have set up on the beach. Though you have to pay to use one of these tents, or a lounge chair. We opted to lay towels down right next to one of these tents to shelter ourselves and just grab a chair and act like we already paid for it. It worked pretty well for us. We got nice tans and minimal sand in the face. No one has much consideration for a towel though. People would walk on my towel when I wasnt laying on it. Or they would just kick sand on it as the walked right next to it. Our diet on the beach consisted of super-panchos( hot dogs) and beer. It was cheap and delicious. I doubt our bodies appreciated it too much though.
Pinamar is a town that is meant for rich families from Buenos Aires. The main streets consist mainly of expensive restaurants, hotels and car dealership showrooms. Pretty much every automotive maker has a showroom in Pinamar. They all come complete with bright lights, big screen TV`s showing commercials of theirs or something of the sort, along with beautiful models standing next to each car waiting to tell you the features of that particular automobile. Or perhaps they`re just there to lure a rich guy in and then an actual salesmen comes out and works him into a deal of some type. I`m not really sure how it works, but it does seem to work somehow.
