When Deb and I were here 15 years ago our one regret was that we didn't do a gullet trip.
A gullet is a sail boat without the sails. In Marmaris we checked out a number of boats to charter... we had 3 criteria: we had to have a good feel about the crew, it had to be affordable and it had to float. The Berfin met all three requirements with the crew of Sali, Solu and Linda. We also teamed up with a couple of great Brits to help share the expense. We 'sailed' from Marmaris to Fethiye for 5 days and 4 nights- sleeping at night on deck. It was quite relaxing as we had absolutely nothing to do except turn the pages in our books. Even the snorkeling was effortless as the water is so bouyant. The meals and variety was fantastic all coming out of one burner kitchen with fresh fish caught daily on the captain's harpoon gun.
