Chevy, Grandma(Estelle)and I charge off across the prairies to find out just how big this country is. Grandma gets off at her home in Winnipeg. Chevy and I met some very cool people along the way including a Calgarian who was 'sailing' across Canada in his recombant trike (he had taken 3 weeks to do what we had done in 15 hours)and Hitchhike Mike (his thumb is genetically engineered for his profession). I stopped to talk with Mike and I told him we would definitely pick him up, but we were going in the wrong direction- with a twinkle in his eye he quipped- "That must mean I'm going in the right direction." We had a great day near North Bay with the Le Page clan at their incredible homestead which is the perfect home/cottage. We also checked out the Wawa goose and the big nickel in Sudbury. 4 days and 3,700 km's later we had the answer to how large this country is... I really enjoyed the trip with Chevy, a great dad and daughter bonding event. Meanwhile back in Calgary, Quinn is entertaining the tourists that flock to the Calgary Stampede.
