Not withstanding a slight visa hiccup, we arrived safely in Melbourne and were met at the airport by our friend Kim and her 4 month old baby, Isabel. It was a strange feeling to be back in a developed Western society after 2 1/2 months in Latin America. We headed to Joe and Kim's lovely place in Williamstown, had lunch then headed to the local beach for a walk.

In the evening we conformed to the stereotype and enjoyed a delicious Aussie BBQ in their garden.
