We arrived early at Isla Santa Fe and landed on a beach within a cove, which was home to a number of sea lions and male bulls. We gave them a wide berth as we walked up over the back of the beach. Here we saw a range of wildlife including snakes and large land iguanas feeding. We then headed snorkelling in the cove and were very excited to watch the marine iguanas feeding underwater. The sea lions gave us some attention and we were more than a little nervous in case we fell foul of one of the dominant males.
The afternoon saw us return back to Puerto Ayora in Santa Cruz for our last evening. We walked down to Tortuga Bay, a lovely beach ideal for surfing. Back on board we enjoyed farewell cocktails and a BBQ on the upper deck.
Very disappointing that we have to leave this boat tomorrow.
