The drive went well.  I listened to about 4 hours of NPR Science Talk from my iPhone.  (Note, the cigarette lighter adapter that drives my FM transmitter had to be jerry-rigged with a fuse that I found in my glove-box.  This needs to be fixed.)

I arrived at the motel in the evening, late enough that all of the stores and restaurants were closed.  This meant no dinner, but I had a late lunch in Eugene, so I felt okay.  I took a little walk around the town, including a little exploration of the Yurok Tribe facility.  Nice to be alone and have time to simply be.
