we left for the mekong delta early in the morning took about 4 hours on the bus, on arrival we transfered onto a boat and sailed down the river. we stopped off in a little village and toured round all the factories they could find seeing how to make rice, bricks, palm leaf roof and knives. we then went for lunch in a traditional house was very nice, after lunch they tried to make us drink more snake wine with a massive dead snake in it but i am still refusing such a delicacy - it is meant to taste rank. after lunch we went on canoes wearing vietnam hats and drinking cocnut water to a bonsi garden where they grow trees, we then cycled from there to our homestay along the winding paths over tiny bridges i thought i was gonna fall off, 2 people did thankfully i made it there safely. our homestay was on the veranda in camp beds with big mosquito nets was very nice and tranquil. they had a traditional band play for us and then we got dinner. after we had dinner we had the grand hat unveiling

We picked names out of a hat in Nha trang and we then had to buy a funny hat for that person. that hat had to be worn at all times and if u took ur hat off or it fell of u had to drink as a punishment. the had made for me was a bowl with a banana and grapes stuck to the top it didnt stay on my head as it was so stupid and fell off everytime i moved which was not good, however it did win the prize for the best hat. we then did a quiz and played drinking games until we finally went to bed. in the morning we got up for breakfast and then took the boat to the local floating market where there was a lot of turnips for sale we didnt buy anything. after that we visted a placw where they make poprice and rice cakes. finally we got back on the bus and slept all the way back to ho chi ming.
