They donīt know that we have had a visitor, hopefully not a resident. Some kind of critter managed to take the plastic lid off the salsa. We have kept the rest of our food in rubbermaid containers and now the fridge too. My Man saw this little unwanted friend as they stared at each other. Hah! We win though. We just borrowed traps from our neighbour.
The fitting for the fridge that My Man got from the hardware store doesnīt quite fit. Heīs off to "town" in seach of another one. "Town" doesnīt mean the closest village to us that is only a few minutes away because it only has 2 sodas which sell rice, eggs and cigarettes. Officially they donīt sell beer, but that is another story...
We now have a bathroom door. Privacy has not been an issue for us until the carpenter was here installing the door. He custom-built a cute little wooden latch for it here on site, so the bathroom hasnīt been used for all the hours heīs been working ... and weīre all drinking lots of agua and cervesa...
The girls discovered a Tarzan rope on the way to the swimming holes today. The first time that Pixie tried it, she swung back and forth because she forgot to let go. Branches rained down on her, into her hair, into her rubber boots and Yoyo teased her that she was "destroying the jungle".
