We are back in Costa Rica again, this time with Pixie and Yoyo.  We landed in Liberia, which is beginning to be very familiar to us.  ... but we will appreciate the new international airport when it opens in Palmar Sur ...

Meantime, it is fun to drive down the Pacific Coast with the kids, stopping whenever the beach looks enticing, or someone finds something to do/explore/eat.  All of us appreciate the beaches with jungle right up to them, without resorts and without development.  I wonder how long it can stay that way ...

It certainly is drier here in the north, even now when it is the green season.  Costa Rica doesn't have summer & winter, instead they have dry season and green season.

We see more wildlife.  Is it because we are better at being able to find them?  Or is it because it is green season?   We experienced driving at night for the first time and saw armadillos.

We decided to check out this country in our summer - their "rainy season" to see just how wet it will be at the treehouse.  So far, it rains every night.  Who cares about that?    The temperature is the same, the humidity is the same, but it is prettier and greener and lusher now.   Mornings and afternoons have the same blue skies.
