Only have time for 2 days in La Paz, which was a shame. This is a city with a very beautiful setting. The city is in a valley, surrounded by mountains all around (almost like a fishbowl). There is not much to see in terms of site, but it is an amazing city to just walk around and explore. The Sunday Alto market was a highlight. The market was huge, and they sell pretty much everything - clothes, computers, furnitures, power tools, dvds, and even cars (and of course, car parts). I was walking around for 3 hours, and I barely covered a small section of the market.

I happened to be in La Paz right around their national day, so there were many parades, and the streets were covered with flags. It was quite interesting to see them showing their national pride.
