The day was finally here! Got up at five to get ready to head to the airport. Had to make sure that I had everything packed and ready to go at six so my mom could send me off on my adventure in Costa Rica! After a three and a half hour flight we finally landed. Right away we could see the mountains and valcanoes out of the window. I was already really excited yet for some reason it hadnt hit me yet that I was in Costa Rica. As we were waiting in the customs line at the airport I felt myself get nervous on because I thought that they were going to be asking me all these questions and not let me pass :) even though I knew it was going to be okay. We finally made it through and grabbed all of our luggage, which I was not looking forward to carrying because my bag was very heavy. We met our tour guide Daniel who was going to take us to Campanario. We were going to be driving all day and wouldn't be making it until the next day. We were heading to Sierpe for the night, I was not looking forward to the six hour bus ride there. As soon as we got on the bus I felt like everyone went to sleep, luckily Danny was there to tell us all the interesting things there that was around us and that Angele was sitting with me and stayed awake. We sung songs, told stories and asked Danny questions to help us pass the time. As we were making our way there we stopped at a restaurant called los adobes, little did I know my first meal in Costa Rica was going to be amazing! Chicken, rice, black beans and platains (that I wasn't bravr to try yet)..yummy!! After the meal we were making our way back and finally reached Sierpe a long six hours later. Though it wasn't the best way to start the trip I tried to make the best of it and just think about what was to come. Though where we ended up going wasn't the fanciest place, I was excited to be rooming with Angele and Jessica. Right away we saw a huge marine toad, biggest toad I have ever seen! After dinner we headed back to the room and just made sure we got everything ready for our boat, and kayak trip the next morning. Angele, Jessica and I knew we had to get up early but we wanted to stay up a little while and play some cards. A few minutes after playing, maybe an hour Ronnie came in and asked us to keep it down, we were having a bit too much fun and being loud :) A little before 11 we were still playing cards when we heard a loud shhh outside our door. We figured that since we were told a second time we were gonna call it a night, good decision.
