Well I hope this mail finds you all in great shape and I must just say that this will be the last such mass mail that I will send out! I know you hate them but its the only way that I can correspond with the massses in my limited time of access to a computer and internet connection (right now being kindly offered by the library resources at Portsmouth Public Library, Maine.)
So a quick update on things since the last email will go something like this:
* hills galore
* sunshine and high temperatures + humidity
* aching legs
* bordom of my own company
* crazy drivers
* some scary moments
* eating anything I can get my hands on
* just hit 2000 miles
* will cross the border of the last state, Maine, in about 2 hours.
So there it is, I know you are all busy and dont want to read a life summary. THings have been tough over the last few days with the hills being an ever present problem and the return of my old nemesis, the WIND. Another element that I had so far been avoiding caught up with me the other day too, the RAIN. Put all of this together along with teh endless miles and really nobody there to inspire me it has been really difficult to find the motivation to carry on.........but of course I then turn around to myself and after a few sharp words (I am always careful that nobody else is around) I continue.
The last few dayts have been especailly hard with rain, wind, a problem with my right knee and a couple of broken spokes....but life goes on right!! What would really help is for me to see some more online donations as this would motivate me massivley for what is the most hilly section yet...the end 200 miles. So if you want to donate and help keep me inspired and motivated for the lasrt couple of days (I think what I have done is worht a few quid ???) then please use the secure site found from this link
This donation site will be active until the 10th of October so there is a while yet if you would like to give and yet dont have the time right this moment.....
Or if you would like to read the updated bog and see some photos (both will be done in the next week once I have finished and have the time to attack this side of things then please visit:
or if you would like to read a more thorough version of the day to day antics then please continue to check the
site as I will be adding much to this in the coming weeks.....patience is a virtue though so please dont expect anything in the next few days!! This will also include the final amount of money raised for thh Parkinson's Disease Society once I have done all of the sums etc.
So thanks for reading this mail, for donating, for reading the blogs and maybe for once every while, thinking of mer as I race up the East coast, on my trusty bike which I have named, Bike.
Take care and I will see, speak or mail more personally very soon
