OK so the bus is really a thing that I have pledged never to use again but with a bike and 2 big bags the train or the plane companies were going to charge a small fortune, so for the meagre $53 charge I can get to the door step of my first camp ground and beginnig of the trip with all baggageand also the inherent sore knees that the Greyhound so consistently give me
I will stay in Saint Ausustine for 2 nights before taking off early morning
on Sunday, a time logically chosen for the lack of traffic and a chance for me to assimilate comfortably into the ways of what is to be 5 weeks of the same. So I hope to be able to write another blog entry from there before I leave after other errands have been run. After that though, going on the blogs from other people who have travelled this route, there wont be many chances to access the interent, it certainly isnt Europe in that respect (Internet Cafes every other store). SO my contingency plan while there may be a significant absence of chances for me to add to the blog is to send a TEXT to a great friend in North Carolina who will update the blog for me from his home. THis means that the entry might only be a few lines long but will be daily rather than what I might otherwise be able to manage, weekly for example.
So sorry in advance if the blogs are raw, but at least you can se where I will be and a few lines of "its hot, I am tired but well" etc.
SO thanks for reading this and keep the interest in this fundraiser going. There can never be enough donations so please keep that side of things healthy and wealthy and know that each mile I do is encouraged through the interest you all give me.
Thanks and take care. I have some bags to haul across the city.
Cheers and keep a check on me
