On this weekend in May - the one that is supposed to kick off summer, we attended MINI United 2009, celebrating the 50th birthday of MINI. It was a terrific event with lots of activites - including my highlight, driving a MINI on the Silverstone racetrack. We found ourselves in the middle of a MINI fan gathering of 25,000 strong - racing cars, watching bands and camping on the freezing cold ground.

On our return trip home we stopped off in Oxford - absoultely one of the most attractive and elegant towns in England if not Europe or even the world. Photos will follow soon.
