We flew through Bulgaria on the train, wish we hadn't as the countryside is gorgeous, and ended up in Istanbul. it hadn't been on the agenda but, like Krakow, I couldn't pass it up after hearing so many people talk about it. And like Krakow, it doesn't disappoint. Istanbul is beautiful and we got some good prices since it's still the low season. Not great weather, but we had a good time. The calls to prayer are an amazing way to wake up in the morning. Oh, and more of the forget everyone speaking English. Tyr finding a post office in Istanbul by asking directions.
