Well this is the last day of my trip, and this was only the second time I had to put on the wet weather jacket! We sailed through the Whitsunday Islands into Abel Point Marina at Airlie Beach. This is a real backpackers town with lots of bars & nightspots and we visited several of them.

It was a very nice way to end the trip, unfortunately I am leaving the boat but the skipper is going all the way around the world. Other crew are getting off at Darwin.

This was an excellent trip, the skipper was really good and the crew got on well, so it was a perfect introduction to a cruising lefestyle that I didn't know existed. I have also planned my next cruise with one of the other crew, who is taking his boat around the world next year.

I am hooked on sailing!
