A very enjoyable flight back across the International Date Line. Richard did not sleep at all but did a Lord of The Rings marathon, watching all three of the movies during the flight. Sure were an awful lot of battle scenes! He wasn't really overly impressed by the quality of the films.

We had re-packed some items in Auckland and didn't think through enough because we had that heavy Vegemite in the carry-on and it was too much, so we had to dump it before getting on our Alaska flight to Portland.
