Since our Multi ticket had expired, today was slotted to be a Hop On Hop Off excursion day. We walked over to Elizabeth Street and took the first HOHO bus that came by, which was the Bondi Beach route.

We went out to Bondi Beach and stayed on the bus all the way to Central Station. We hopped off there to catch the Sydney Route and took it down to the Circular Quay. We gor off there in hopes of having lunch at the top of the library, but were turned away because we didn't have any reservations. We went down to the Searock Grill and had a lovely lunch. Jeanette had a Scotch fillet and king prawn with a jacket potato and Richard had lamb sirloin with ratatouille and merlot jus. We had an enjoyable time watching the people parading by.

We picked up the Sydney route at the Circular Quay and went around to the Hyde Park North stop where we got off to explore the fountains to the south of St. Marys Cathedral. We walked up and made a connection to get back on the Bondi route at William Street and rode around to the Bondi stop. We spent some time on the beach and got an early dinner in North Bondi at the Speedo Cafe since we were going to walk to the Macquarie Lighthouse and knew that there wasn't much in the way of food available on the route.

By the time we reached the lighthouse and explored, the last HOHO buses were finished for the day, so we returned to the city on a regular bus. We then spent the remainder of the evening packing for our early morning shuttle to the airport and our farewell to Sydney and our Down Under adventure.
