Where I stayed
still in Greenville, but making the most of it
Spirit Airlines finally canceled our flight at 10 am. At 10:01, I called Spirit to begin processing our refund. At a little short of 3 PM, I hung up, after not having spoken to a living soul at Spirit. That's right people, I was on hold for almost 5 hours. I couldn't hang up myself. I had to call Rob in to hang up the phone for me because I AM NOT A QUITTER.
The title is a homage to the great Caitlin Upton, Miss Teen SC, but fits perfectly with the fact that we are now 9 proud ticket holding US(Air)Americans. We are now on Plan B -- leave on Tuesday the 22nd on US Air from Charlotte instead of Thursday the 17th. And the flight is better than the first one -- non-stop, better service, not leaving at the butt crack of dawn. So it all works out.
And now there is more time left before we go. What will we do? Study Spanish flashcards, hang out at the pool, find some Indiana Jones hats, have lunch / dinner with friends. . . it will be time well wasted, I can assure you. As Bill Watterson had Calvin once say, "There's never enough time to do all the nothing you want."
