In case you didn't know, we are / were flying Spirit Airlines, whose pilots went on strike at 5 am this morning. We had heard rumors but like good optimists, we hoped for the best.
So where are we now? We are in a holding pattern, unfortunately, which for a couple (or more than a couple) of planners who like to have things settled so they can get down to the business of good times, is not the best place to be. If they would cancel the flight, they would refund our tickets and we could proceed from there. But they don't. They are canceling day-to-day. So we wait.
All good thoughts requested and with enough of them, maybe these birds will still fly on Thursday.
Meanwhile, had my spirits lifted ;) when I ran into local legend (and neighbor) Tony the Dance machine at the pool. If you don't know who I am talking about you must go to his website: it will not be a waste of your time, I promise.
