Crossing the border into the Czech Republic was a change.  You could tell when you had left Austria and entered Czech lands.  Everything was a bit more run down and ads for girlie bars were present everywhere. There were fields and fields of yellow flowers, which Johann told me was coleseed (not sure if I'm spelling that right). They grow it here and harvest it for biodiesel. The pictures really do not do it justice. I had thought that there would be a big highway connecting these two large cities, but the journey was mostly along two lane highways that twisted and turned. I had to make sure and look out the window to keep from getting sick.

Along our journey to Prague, we stopped at Telc.  The city center of Telc has been preserved and looks much like it did during the Middle Ages. It was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1992.  It was Sunday and therefore less busy than it normally is, but it was neat. Several vendors selling trinkets and Chinese made knock off goods and a great street band. I was able to hit an ATM and get some Czech currency, as my euros weren't accepted everywhere. I would have liked to have stayed longer than the hour we were allotted.  I didn't really leave the square, but I got a taste of the place.  Back on the bus and on towards Prague!
