After 25 hours of driving through wind, ice, snow, North Dakota and 650 miles (on the same road) of Canada that looks like North Dakota we made it to Banff. There is no one on the roads in Canada and especially not from the hours between midnight and 5:30am. At around 4am we started passing signs that said things like "Elk crossing", "Bear, elk, and wolves crossing", "Falling rocks", "Avalanche Area" and other encouraging things. It was also snowing and you couldn't see more than 50 ft in front of you. On the bright side, we saw the Words Tallest Tepee, and we learned that gas here is sold by cents/liter.

Today we hiked around and toured around the town of Banff. It really is a spectacular place and we are hiking more tomorrow.

Hiked Johnston's canyon today! It was a nice hike, but it would have been impossible if the lady at the info desk hadn't recommended that we rent ice cleats. Thannkfully we did and enjoyed seeing some frozen waterfalls. This is our last day in Banff and tomorrow we will be in Glacier.

Please bring home some Beaver Buzz.

It occurred to me that this trip was inspired by the odysseys of Karl Pilkington. That's why you brought Kevin.

Are you saying Kevin is like Karl? LOL

I'm so happy for you! You both look so happy and we are so enjoying the pic's. Poppy calls me from work to see if any new pic's came, everyday. I like the notes where you are and the titles on the pic 's. But then we love everything about YOU! God Bless. Poppy, GGG, & Emmie. XO XO

This is amazing! The mountains are incredible! So jealous!
