So after breakfast we went to the rental place to get the car. Renting the car was easy, renting the GPS was more difficult. The car is insured but the GPS isnt so we had to sign all these papers, then it didn't work, had to get a new one, etc. etc.  Finally we were on our way about 10:30.  Our car is a pretty nice Audi 4, stick shift 6 speed, diesel, so we should get great mileage.

Oh yeah, I forgot to tell you that late last afternoon the sun finally came out. After all our time in the rain. I wish we had some more time in Barcelona, there are still things we haven't seen and things that would be fun to see again in the sunshine.

So off we went to Pamplona. That's where they have the running of the bulls. No not this weekend. We arrived about 4:00, unloaded the car and then had to take it outside the old city to park. Walked around the old city, another old fun city. Stopped in a tapas bar to have some wine, then moved inside when (darn) it started to rain again. Walked some more, along where the bulls run, stopped again for another wine,

Driving today we passed a lot of vinyards (we are on the edge of La Rioja, one of Spains famous wine regions, and we've been drinking good local wines). We also saw some green fields (hay?), some orchards (almonds)?, a few cows, horses and sheep.  We still havent seen any pigs, although we see hams everywhere, purporting to be from all over Spain.  I have my research department working on that (my brothers who make up entertaining stories and my sister in law who tells the truth!),
