Where I stayed
To be sure we didn't miss the bullet train this morning, we woke up early and were on the road by 7:15. The hotel provided us with breakfast in a box and we were on our way to the train station. The station was extremely busy as one would expect for Sunday travels. All the students are partnered up and on the look out for one another during our daily travels. We had to say a sad goodbye to the Huntsville group as they disembarked at the Osaka station. The train ride was about 6 hours long and most students were able to catch a nap and relax for a while. The breathtaking view of Mt. Fuji was enough to wake everyone up and we couldn't get our cameras out fast enough. The sight of this mountain prompted many of the students to ask "Why aren't we climbing that?"...if only we had more time (& money--our guide Kei said he would take us up if we gave him more money!!)
We arrived at the hotel safely, after dodging many passengers in the subway station, and had some free time to explore the city
Today was a slow day for the picture taking, so as promised yesterday, we have posted some signs that will hopefully make you smile.
