So we left Cleveland yesterday around 1pm and headed east for the next leg of our adventure. My buddy Gene Salvadore who owns an MRI office in Pittsburgh offered to show us around town which sounded great so that was our next destination before heading on to Gettysburgh, Lancaster, and Philly.
We showed up around 3:45 and left the RV and trailer behind Gene's office. We jumped in his jaguar and went to his house. Nice neighborhood- Joey Porter from the steelers lives right across the street from him. Gene had sent me an article recently that Porter's dogs- a pitbull and bull mastiff- had gotten out of his yard and killed a small horse at a local farm. Funny stuff. We met Gene's wife Beth and their adorable little red-headed 2yr old Andrew. This kid has every sporting toy imaginable- basketball hoop, baseball tee and bat, boxing gloves, golf clubs, even hurdles. Gene must be training him for the decathlon or something.
(jeska taking over the typing so jordan can drive) The cool thing about Andrew is he knows all the sports names and how to play them. We started off playing T-ball in the living room. he was able to knock it off pretty far and then run the imaginary bases around the couches. Next we played basketball. He was making baskets and i kept missing. Gene smiled and said not as easy as it looks... we also played air hockey and putted a few balls with his golf clubs.
Gene and his family kindly took us to the downtown area of Pittsburgh where the steel mills used to be. Pittsburgh is known as the steel city.(Guess that is why they have the Pittsburgh STEELERS. makes sense now that i think about it! We went to the Duquesne Incline which is an old train looking boxcar that takes you up and down the side of mount Washington so you can see all of Pittsburgh. VERY COOL. you can see where three rivers come to a point. Gene told us the Allegheny, and the Mononghahela come together to form the Ohio River. In the Revoloutionary War the Americans used this point as a Fort and you can still see an outline of the fort in the grass. Then we grabbed a bite to eat in this cute area I think is called the south side where all the bars are in the city by Duquesne. it was an artsy area. Jordan feel asleep on the way home so we ended up crashing at their house for the night. This morning we are finally going to make it to Gettysburgh-only 3 days later then our ETA. Luckily we don't really have anywhere we really need to be. Beth made us breakfast this morning and we hit the road. Our trailer tire was looking a bit low so we put some air into it and then less then 2 miles on the road you will never believe what happened..... That's right- FLAT TIRE NUMBER 3.This time on the trailer instead of the RV. We just had to laugh- I feel like calling our RV "Flat Tire Flyer" since we are in search of our RV's name but Jordan said NO WAY. We were able to fix this tire on our own because we had a spare and the tires aren't as big as the RV tires. Also there is no need for the airgun to remove the lug nuts like on the RV tires, We were able to use our jeep jack and a socket wrench. It took us about 45 min to change it and now we are back on the road cruising to Gettysburg. Hurray!!!! Maybe at somepoint today we will finally make it to a Place where we can hook up our RV and dump our black tank. We learned a lesson the smelly way- if you leave poop in your black tank for around 2 weeks and don't dump it you have the wonderful aroma of Repulsive Crap as your air freshener.

Good seeing you
Beth, Andrew , and I wish you the best in your travels...FYI, Andrew had so much fun with you guys that he freaked out when he had to go to day care today (school as he calls it).
One correction on his sporting goods...I may be crazy enough to buy him boxing gloves, but he DOES NOT have hurdles...When did you ever see hurdles with netting on them...Those are called HOCKEY NETS. We did not give you a demonstration of his hockey skills because he tends to cross check and slash. We'll be jealously following your travels and will send you pictures of Andrew's little brother,Jack, when he greats the world.
