An interesting adventure getting out of Ochi. We walked about a mile to the bus center, but along the way we were taken under the wing of a hustler who insisted on showing us the best path to take. We went through a few areas that I wouldn't have entered had I been alone, but he was very adamant about following him. Angry, even, that I would question where he was leading us.

The busses don't leave until they are full, so you are guaranteed to be squeezed 4 across no matter what (well, occasionally you can get away with having a bag as the 4th, but don't count on it.)

We stayed in this all-inclusive resort for a couple days. Evidently they aren't used to guests showing up in other than a tour bus, let alone the local bus system. We were greated sceptically by the guards at the entrance, who had to be convinced that we were really staying there.

First time at such a place. This one had only opened a few months ago, and it showed. Staff didn't know where things were, including which half of the resort was called Lady Hamilton and which Jamaica (it seems the printer got it wrong for all the maps and brochures!)
The weather was overcast and on and off raining the whole time, due to the formation of Hurricane Paloma to the west. But there was nothing on the local station or the hotel TV about it, which was frustrating since we were headed next to the west end of the island, closest to it.
My review of the place will come later. Suffice it to say that it was mostly pleasant, but by the time I left I was talking to the manager about consulting for some process improvement that they badly need.
