After traveling by bus, plane, and train, we finally reached our destination late last night.  Although we were on the road upwards of ten hours, the children were troopers.  They arrived tired but happy and quickly hit the sheets.

We started our trip today at Plimoth Plantation where students had an opportunity to study both the Pilgrim's journey to the New World and their relationship to the Wampanoag tribe who inhabited the land they decided to settle.  They were able to explore a native American village and an early colonial settlement.  At each site, there were people in costume to answer questions about the events that surrounded that time in our history.  Students gained an appreciation for the strained relations between colonists and native Americans and left with an abundance of knowledge about colonial times in the 1600s.

Our weary travelers are now settling in for a good night's rest!  The chaperones say,"Huzzah!"
