One Fine Day in Uluwatu!

We got up this morning and had a great walk down the cliffs to the Indian Ocean. It was amazing. Craig got in the ocean and tried to "catch" some fish, but no luck. I wrote Kimi's and Sami's name in the sand so "they could be there" too!
The walk up was a bit harder than down, but it was good exercise for the both of us especially since all we've been doing since we arrived is non-stop eating.
We had a swim in the hotel pool, lounged and then had a leisurely breakfast of yummy melon, Belgian waffles with strawberries, omlette and bacon.
We relaxed in our own pool villa and then headed down for a Balinese 3 course lunch. It's amazing how much food one can eat on vacation....
We rested up in our room again until we headed to Salubuan to watch the sunset and surfers. It's a great little surf town. Lots of locals, expats, Australians and American boys from California. It was really fun watching all the action. There were incredible waves - so fun to watch. We'd love to try it someday....
For dinner - we headed into Jimbaran Bay and had a seafood dinner on the beach. We got to choose our own lobster, jumbo prawns and red snapper. They grilled it up for us and put some yummy sauce on it and we ate it out on the beach. It was a perfect dinner - the food was so fresh and just the right amount. It was also good to see another beach area of Bali. There were many hotels there - Four Seasons, Inter-Continental etc..
We got back to our hotel and Artha our Villa Manager had written a card for us and had a beautiful flower arrangement to celebrate our anniversary. It was sweet, kind and thoughtful. We love this place!!
To our camping friends - so glad you all had a great time.....the sheep sound amazing!
Good luck to Abby and Shane for starting school today. Hope the first day goes well.

First day of school went very well today for Shane and Abby! They love their teachers - but the jury is still out on the new PE teacher, according to Abby! I knew I should have recruited Pettus.....heehee....
