A rather relaxing day of driving led us to Cranbrook after Christina Lake. We left the lake around 12:45, and arrived in Cranbrook around 5:00. We had a quick pit stop in Salmo for lunch behind a random baseball field in the centre of Salmo. While we enjoyed our go-to lunch of cheese buns, we noticed a couple of police cars cruising around the baseball fields. I guess we were hanging out in the rough part of Salmo!

Once we got to Cranbrook, we were hoping to find a nice cool lake or river for a swim after another day of warm driving. At check in at Mount Baker RV resort, the lady told us she was putting us right beside a stream, if we wanted to swim in there. Well, it turns out that the stream was more of a creek, with lots of little kids trying to catch tiny fish. We pulled up to our site, which was right beside a bridge, and the garbage and recycling cans. I gave Craig a look, and he immediately offered to go and see if we could switch sites. 5 minutes later we were two sites away from the bridge and garbage cans (and children fishing in the creek). However, we couldn't quite get away from the creek, which was moving at quite the speed. After setting up our tent, we put our chairs out behind the tent (any shade that we could make was great), and opened a cider each. Waterfront property - how wonderful! We made good use of this creek. My feet were very warm from driving all day, so I dipped them in briefly. We also found a brick block in the creek that was the perfect holder for our milk jug, so in the creek went the milk jug for the night!

However, with the perks of waterfront property also come the downfalls...Craig, with a bladder the size of a peanut, and me, with a bladder the size of walnut, found ourselves walking up during the night with the strong urge to pee...needless to say, we used ear plugs that night.
