Kufunda took in me in with open arms, and I became a part of the community. I haven't lived in community that many times before, but it has never felt so good to be one of the villagers. It has also never hurt so bad to move on. They almost convinced me to stay. Oh well, I'll have to return. There's much work to be done, though the foundation has been well laid.
I tried to say my goodbyes my last night there, but all my homies insisted that I wake them up, even though I had to be at the bus station by 6 a.m. - now that's love.

Can relate
Back at home after 2.5 days of travelling since leaving Kufunda the day before you. Unlike you I have lived in community for many years. Though our visit was much shorter than yours my experience was one of a more open-hearted welcome than any other I have enjoyed. I guess it's up to us to take the lessons and share this generous and simply loving embrace of humanity wherever we go. much love to you Chris - I hope our paths cross again one day.
