Today I woke feeling 100%. I continued with the meds that obviously helped. The plan for the day was to head to Victoria Falls. We hired a dready cab driver and got to the Falls around 9.

It was $10 to enter the park to see the Falls. At first site you see a rainbow. At second site you see two. At this time of the year the river is just about to peak its flow and it rages. The water falls so hard that it shoots back up the canyon, creating itinual rain, 24/7. We were happy to be there on a sunny day.

Its hard to describe the feeling you get there. Its like a great baptism. Everyone there is smiling and in total awe. Rainbows are everywhere and its sunny and its totally raining. Its like bad vibes don't exist. You are on the edge of a great canyon, the bottom of which is filled with date palms, monkeys and a raging river.

After a little meeting time mix up, we all got back to the hostel and prepared for our journey to Bovu Island, on the Zambezi 60 km above the Falls. We couldn't all fit in one truck so we went in two groups.

Bovu Island is an idyllic little (1 km x .5 km) island in the middle of the Zambezi River between Zambia and Zimbabwe, though it is officially Zambian. Frank knows the Euro-Botswanan owners who run an incredible little resort there. One of the residents, Evelyn Roe (plants@zamnet.zm), was his initial contact as she is also way into the plants. We were to spend two nights there.

I arrived at sunset with the second group, and we were told how things work around the island, like the self-serve honor-system bar and how the water's edge is off limits, reserved for crocodiles.
