Q: Why would the Swedes go to Denmark?

A: To buy alcohol!

Q: Why would the Danes go to Sweden?

A: To buy cigarettes!

Who would have though - especially those of us who live in Australia - that you would actually go to a different country in the morning just to buy a few bottles of booze, and come in back in the afternoon to drink them! Thats what the Swedes do! In fact, all of Scandinavia does it... there i a whole kinetic chain that follows from the Arctic circle to the 'mainland' Europeans... it has something to do with taxes i think...

The Norwegians go to Sweden because it is cheaper, those in Sweden, drive down to Helsingør in Denmark to buy booze, and the Danes take it one step further and go to Germany to get their discounted liquor!

So what was I doing in Denmark, buying booze of course! :)
We also walked around the city, its quiet nice, dating back to the 1300's when it used to be one of the main ports between Sweden and Denmark.

Anyways now I have to go and drink my beer, it was well earned!
