overall its great to be able to travel with someone!
on thursday we were able to see a great view of the Mississipi river from the 'Guthrie theatre'
the theatre is beautiful!
Ren's parents, Tom and Barb recommended it, as they always take their older daughters to it
Ren's older daughters are missionaries in south Asia which i think is real cool!
so when they are back, they awalsy do the touristy things.
The Gutherie is a beautiful theatre, glamorous, modern and posh!
its so hot here
from 3degrees in NZ to over 31, body needs to adapt again and walking anywhere my body is finding it a struggle in the heat
so ren reccomeneded to walk the skyways!
the skyways are clear glass tunnel;s connecting the downtown minneaoplis together between each building
quite good fun
like a maze, you dont what business you are goin to see or walk into
then later this afternoon i got to expereince a very well organised athletic tournament, 'city trials' like what you see on the olympics, but the american school way
Serenity's brother made it to the city finals so another american past time where all families come to support, like families back in england watching football match
very fun to watch
and got to hear the american national anthem!
Today very different
last day at helping at the school, whihc was a shame, i enjoed it
Ren is goin to work next week so cant help out, and because i'm probably not supposed to be helping, i havent signed a contract or anything, it wouldnt be good on the school on me,so i dont want to risk it
fantastic kids, and we helped the teacher so she was happy
then today Mall of america!!
the 2nd largest mall in the world!! Canada has the biggest!
it has a theme park in the middle!! truly enormous!
we walked all around it! not goin into each shop but having a peek and a nosey
few years ago, it would be great to shop in America, now the pound is so weak, its not worth it anymore
loved it though
with Ren's friend Angel and got to try a pretzel
it was yummy!
we were both so tired at the end of it!
on the skyrail back lots of Baseball fans
still trying to get into the rules of it
we all played baseball on wednesday with Ren's friends from church whihc was real fun!! it was lovely to get to know her friends, all really kind and generous
so i now sort of know the rules
and got to knoe some american teams
their state team are called the twins
the yankees are the new york team
i was wondering where Yankee came from
overall its been fantastic so far!
and i feel so happy to be with truly lovely people
its crazy to think in two weeks time i will already be back in the UK
where has the last year gone!
