Though in conservation americans say college they still call it a university

I have learnt many things about the American culture, thats a bonus living with an american family, yyou get a chance to try the american food

ive been able to try corn, (american corn is amzing, corn on the cob, NZ is definitly 2nd best to that though)
Also peanut butter pie, they have creaming whip, like frozen cream, easy to cook with
in gerneral though as we traveled to the cinema yesterday, and got to see a real mall, i have overall never seen so many fast food restaurants in all my life
if you live in america you are able to try different food evryday, theres so much choice!!
from mexican fast food, to indian and carribean being available too!!

today i got a chance to see an american supermarket!!
again so much choice
maybe it looks so big because the choice in NZ was very minimal!
but wow!! is al i can say, theres so much food!

but im in one of the healthiest states
when i got here the weather has been truly gorgeous! and evryone is out jogging
america is known to have many people living under a very unhealthy life style, but i was shocked to see so many people out jogging, cylcing, rollerblading, being out and about!
Minnesota is one of the ovrall healthier states!

Though its interesting to hear the politics side too
Minnesota is state full of conservative people which helped them keep out of the recession
of course people are out of jobs, but not as bad as some

Back to what the title says, we were able to see Ren's college today
its a beautiful campus, not far from where she lives, and excellent for her primary degree, worth seeing overall
its 'mammoth' in size and can hold 70,000 students!!
got to see some seminar rooms, and lecture rooms
also the natural history museum was on campus and we were able to see live snakes, turtles and cockraoches uhhhh!!
due to children being at school, no one was there so the staff were able to answer our questions about the animals we saw
the museum itself was interesting, lots of information on animals you only find in north america
such as huge mooses! they are huge!! also brown bears, racoons, other animals like lynx which i snevr knew were here in america!!
great museum overall! smal and unique too

then the final part of the day was the Weisman art gallery
beautiful paintings from america
some very abstract and other simple, i got to see an orignal 'Andy Warhol' which i was very pleased about because i remembering studying him in Art 4 years ago!!
overall a great day!
