One last leg to get to Portlands bay
roughly 15km walk today, fortunately not as hot as yesterday
got up and ready to go, no food till the end so our mission was to complete so we could get food!
we booked our water taxi back for 4 so we had an aim to keep walking too

left at 10ish and didnt stop apart from after steeper hills
walking with backpacks on and tents was very hard!!
Johnny had the most weight and i admired him more for being able to walk faster than me

showery day but definitly some of the better views today
the views over the Marlbourgh Sounds are just astounding!!

the ocean looks beautiful with sun beaming down and walking through the forest feels amazing

Tramping in the South Island is a definite must if you come to this country!!

After walking all day, so tired from lack of food, we were on the right track as we asked a scottish man how long to go, and 45mins left all down hill was what we needed to hear!!

walked so fast with just food on our minds, we reached portland Bay and we were able to fill ourselves up!!

Back to Picton on the taxi and back to Atlantis backpackers where we had stored our luggage

awesome backpackers, free tea and coffee yes!! and free brekkie was great too!!

great atmosphere at this hostel it was great to sleep in a bed!
