Today, we had a tour guide for sight-seeing in Firenze.
Our first stop was the original David by Michelangelo at the Accademia dell'Arte del Disegno (or, Accademia), but no photos were permitted.
We then headed over to the Duomo, Giotto's belltower (campanile), and next to it, the bronze doors of the Bapistry ("Gates of Paradise").
Next, we arrived at the Piazza della Signoria to view replica statues of The Rape of the Sabine Women, another David, and Neptune to name a few.
Our tour guide left us but we then went over for tours at Coi Gold Factory and a leather factory.
After some shopping at the leather factory, we grabbed some lunch and ate it at the Basilica di Santa Croce (Basilica of the Holy Cross).
We then went back to the Duomo so I could climb the 467 steps to the top of the dome for a wonderful view of Firenze.
We got a little lost on the way back to the hotel but eventually found our way.
Another five-course meal for dinner and endless wine closed the night.
