Back to Auckland to prepare for the hop across for part two. A meal is planned in the revolving restaurant in the Sky Tower for tomorrow before I leave.
New Zealand has been stunning though the weather has been somewhat of a disappointment but, as my cousin said a while ago - when your biggest export is lamb and lamb comes from sheep and sheep eat grass and grass needs rain to grow, it shouldn't surprise anyone too much that there's a bit of rain about in New Zealand....
See you in Australia....

The sun is shining here in Oz....for the time being!!! Let's hope it stays like this so you can work on your ultra-tan!!! See you tomorrow!!
Am I right in thinking there's a birthday going on today, sport? If so, greetings from t'other side o' world, otherwise I'll get back in my box....! Hope the sun is shining on you all xxx
Phil, Happy Birthday mate, hope the weather improves dramatically for you from here on in!!! As always the blog is fantastic, have you ever thought of writing a travel book??? It would definitely be a best seller (no sarcasm on this one and only occasion!! and you know how that hurts me!) We now don;t need to go to New Zealand anymore and am hoping to save money on Oz also so you better make it good mate. The photos are great, nice to see Neil looking so healthy (who's the knackered old codger with him in some of the pictures?). Seriously good to see you enjoying your travels and wishing you a great time in Oz, give our love to Helen. All the very best, love Denise and Miles
Thanks Becks. Surprised I'm not still in your little book of birthdays..... How time changes things eh?!?!
Thanks for the comments Miles. Such a pity you're deluded!!!
Weather's picking up nicely now I've crossed the Tasman and hoping to top up the tan so I look even older and wrinklier!!
