This morning we went on another great hike, this time in Goldstream Provincial Park. Here are some pictures that Sze took.

In the afternoon I did some shopping with my brother and father. Sze decided to head in the other direction for a little exploring of downtown Victoria on her own.

...

Hi! Sze here. Today, I ran off on my own to discover downtown Victoria. I started with a little picnic on the lawn of the Legislative building near the harbor. A great view of the magnificent building with its green roofs behind me, and the yachts and boats along the water in the harbour. After a quick lunch, I decided to go for a walk along the harbour where there were street performers and peddlers selling wares. There were alot of tourists around but that seems to be the case most days in downtown Victoria.

After a brief walk down Government St and some window shopping and a Canadian soccer shirt later, I decided to go check out the Royal BC Museum which was within walking distance of all the touristy shops on Government St. and the harbour. They had a great temporary exhibit called TIBET which was just awesome. I managed to squeeze in a brief exploration of the natural history section of the museum and saw a magnificent wooly mammoth display. The Royal BC museum is a must-see if you like museums. You can get a two-fer pack for museum entrance and an IMAX movie, and even save a few loonies if you have a student ID.

Time went by really fast and by the time I was done at the Tibet exhibit, it was almost time to meet up with the other folks for dinner plans. I didn't get to see the First Peoples Gallery or an IMAX movie due to time constraints but we managed to do both later in our trip.
