A last minute decision on a much needed mini-vacation brings us to Seattle today. A short 2.5hr flight from the Orange County airport, we're thrown into a strange city filled with abundant public art and green trees. We left California around noon and got into the Sea-Tac airport before 3pm. After waiting on the wrong baggage carousel for our luggage, we finally tracked our luggage down, and headed to the info booth for advice on the most economical way to be shuttled to our downtown hotel.

The very nice gentleman at the info booth recommended a limo (yes!) because it costs only $35 whereby a supershuttle or cab would cost about $30. What the heck.. limo it is. And off we went..

We checked into our hotel, the Alexis hotel. Awesome suite with great views from the windows of our bedroom.

First things first, it's the hunt for the ever elusive Malaysian restaurant! Upon a recommendation from our concierge, we decided to check out the Wild Ginger for dinner. A short walk from our hotel, we settled into a not-quite-Malaysian restaurant but rather, an asian fusion restaurant with a Malaysian twist. The food wasn't too bad, but it definitely wasn't authentic. We ordered Salmon Satay, Monk's curry and Dungeneous Crab made Singapore-style. In all, so-so. We'll have to track down more authentic Malaysian cuisine tomorrow.

We walked back to our hotel and figured we'd nightcap it with some dessert and coffee at the Library Bistro which was a cute little bar/bistro in our hotel.

A pretty good start to discovering Seattle via our taste buds.. tomorrow, we go donut hunting, head to the market at Pike Place, jump on the ferry to Bainbridge Island for a sweet treat, and gorge ourselves on seafood. Stay tuned!

If you want to buy real estate, you would have to receive the mortgage
loans. Furthermore, my father commonly takes a term loan, which occurs
to be the most reliable.
