This morning I woke up with really sore calves. When I ran into Erin in the living room she had been stretching for the last half a hour. It was the damn hike in the Iao Valley. Who would have thought that 30 minutes of walking about would take such a toll.

We headed out to pick up our snorkel gear at Snorkel Bob's. Less than $8 a day for the rental of fins, mask, and snorkel! We headed to one location near the condo that the woman at the shop recommended. The water wasn't very clear and there were lots of people there. After about 15 minutes we decided to try a different spot. Mile marker 14 on the way to Lahaina. The place that Jennifer has been raving about. The water there was much clearer. We saw tons of fish although the coral reef itself was pretty dead. But who should we run into at her favorite snorkeling site? Jennifer! And Chris and Adriana.

After snorkeling for a bit we chilled on the sand. Jen found a piece of coral in the shape of a heart. She called Chris over to show him because she has another heart shaped coral from a previous trip with him. Adriana warned her not to take anything home from the island a la the Brady Bunch Hawaiian episode. They warn you that bad things will happen to you if you do. Silly superstition? Maybe. Jen laughed it off. But then...I cut my finger on a thorn in the sand and my finger bled. And not one minute later Chris got attacked by a tree. He was walking along the shore and ran into a thorny branch. It got him so good that he was on his hands and knees in the water in pain. He was bleeding from the forehead and was all scratched up on the shoulder and under his eye. Thank goodness he was wearing sunglasses or else it might have been his eye. We decided to head back to the condo so that Chris could use some of Erin's Bactine and get bandaged up. Last time I checked Jen still had the coral. Put it back, girl!

Erin and I spent the rest of the afternoon at the condo pool working on creating new tan lines. It was my first time there and I was determined to use some of the amenities before we checked out the next day. We never got around to the mini golf or the shuffle board though.

We made dinner and watched gay TV, the season finale of "Boy Meets Boy" (Thank god he didn't pick the straight guy, but I wonder if he was tipped off at the end by the producers. I mean, the audience would have been pissed if it went that way...)
